I really enjoyed reading this piece as it made me realize that everyone goes through the pain of writing first drafts. I personally feel like I can really struggle with this and often feel childish when I am writing my initial draft. I found a specific quote from this passage that I can really relate to and that was "It's not like you don't have a choice, because you do -- you can either type, or kill yourself.” Sometimes getting my ideas out on the paper brings me to this frustration. When It does, I usually have to take a step back and breathe and not think about it for a while. Although it may seem impossible to complete at first it is important for me to keep going until I feel content with the product I have, Like the writer of this blog says, it’s important to just trust the process and let all of the creative ideas flow out naturally. It is natural that the first draft makes you feel like you are an inexperienced writer but in the end after much reviewing and analyzing, the final product of your writing should always make you feel accomplished and happy. During the process of writing a paper I try to keep in mind that no matter the changes I’m making I’m improving(hopefully) and catching mistakes I hadn’t before. This motivates me to keep going until the end.
