Personally, reading the article Consider the Lobster made me feel like I was reading a very interesting, interactive research paper. Many research papers take on a more serious look on what they are researching yet this paper finds a way to be extremely informative and also lighthearted as well. Reading this article made me learn a lot newer things about lobsters, and about main that I didn’t know before. The author wrote about the specific competitions that people had in Maine with lobsters and how the process was developed as well as how it worked out. The author also included arguments of controversial topics within the genre and really showed how people really tend to have an opinion on most everything and there is always somebody with a different point of view. “Some cooks take one of those little lightweight plastic oven timers with them into another room and wait till the whole process is over” is a line that truly shows the tone of the research paper and kinds demonstrates the point I was making about the author using language to make the tone lighthearted. I overall really enjoyed reading this passage and I now am now very well informed on lobsters and their uses.
